John A. Mott
Owner
John has been working in the Information
Technology field for 16 years.
From September 1988 until November 1994, John
was the Accounting Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of RAM Software
Systems, Inc. in Wexford, PA. He was one of four founding members
of the company and helped to grow it from four to twenty employees.
While at RAM Software, John was involved in most aspects
of the business but was mainly responsible for the accounting,
financial, marketing and production areas.
John began his career at ServiceWare as a Senior
Accountant in November of 1994. At that time he was managing
a small accounting department for a high growth software company.
He setup automated accounting systems using Great Plains Dynamics
accounting software and Excel Spreadsheets. Maintained accounts
payable, accounts receivable and collections.
Organized information for reporting due diligence for two successful
venture capital investments. In addition, he handled compliance
issues, as related to contracts, with several company re-sellers
and partners
John transitioned from accounting to software
and data engineering at ServiceWare Technologies, In
March of 1997.
In this
role John was responsible for defining, documenting, and automating
the QA and publishing processes for the delivery of In-house
knowledge bases to various formats, including HTML. In addition
he was the project leader for ServiceWare's Content Distribution
Center, a web site designed to provide published content via
the web.
In April 2001 John was a consultant
and project manager with Matrix Integrated Solutions. In this
role
he was
the project leader responsible for the development and QA of
a Warehouse Management Module and the implementation of accounting
(mainly MAS90) and CRM (SalesLogix) systems.
Since leaving Matrix in 2002, John has finished
the MBA program at KATZ Graduate School of Business, enjoyed
time at home with his three young children, and started Mott
Designs.
John holds a Bachelors
of Science from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in
Business Administration and a
Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in
Information Technology from the KATZ Graduate School of Business
at the University
of Pittsburgh.
